Playwriting Bio

Kate Jaeger is a Seattle-based playwright. Her short plays have been performed at 14/48: The World's Quickest Theatre Festival; Script Tease; she is FIERCE: stories from the female and genderqueer perspective; Solo Performance Festival; and Quick Musicals.

 

Her monologues, "Against All Odds" and "Do Over: A Monologue" were performed as a part of 369 Monologue and Short Play Festival pt. 3: Hell and High Water, produced by Different Strokes Performing Arts Collective in May of 2025. 

 

She believes that stories matter; more importantly HOW we tell stories matters. Kate seeks to elevate the voices of those who have typically been muted. She believes that theatre has the power to open people’s hearts and minds. Her work includes the absurd, the political, and everything in-between.
